Creative mode

You can leave the top plate off to allow easy access to the reset button or ISP header. With the top plate removed, you can also use shields that require SPI, such as the ethernet shield or Wireless SD Shield.

Prototyping mode

Leave the top plate plugged in, and you can still easily access all the I/O pins as well as plug in shields. A mini breadboard may be fastened on top for easy prototyping.

Handling precautions

  • Sometimes the protective sheet will be partially gone on delivery. This does not indicate a defect and has no effect on the finished product.

  • Please do not try to bend the acrylic. It may break and cause an accident.

  • Take care against overtightening of the screws. Overtightening may lead to breakage of the acrylic plates.

  • The product supports genuine Arduino boards. Depending on the placement of mounting holes as well as USB connector and power connector not all clones will fit.

  • The product may break if excessive force or vibration is applied.

  • One of the bottom spacers is situated close to a solder joint on the Arduino. It may be neccesary to rotatethe spacer slightly to ensure a good fit.
