Usage Instructions

The Flickering LED Candle is controlled using a single button. When you insert the battery, the candle will start flickering and is programmed to go off again after two hours.

To turn the candle off before that time, press and hold the button for about 3 seconds. Once the LED goes off, you may release the button.

Once the candle is off, it will remain like that until the button is pressed again. (in this mode it draws about 25uA)

The battery is good for around 40-50 hours of continuous use. You may use any brand of CR2032 battery (also available in our store). One battery comes included with the candle.

Modes

There are two flickering modes available, high intensity and low intensity. A press of the button toggles between them.

The difference between them is subtle, but grows as the battery voltage goes down. The low intensity flicker mode works best when the battery is low, while the high intensity mode works best with a new or almost new battery.

Case

Just about any tea candle holder can be used for the Flickering LED candle. It works best in a holder where the light is recessed so that the top of the PCB doesn't show directly. Tinted, frosted or other semi-opaque glass holders work well, and help diffuse the light making the candle effect more realistic.
